H.O.G India or Harley Davidson Owners Group, organizes 5 HOG rallies each year.
H.O.G India rallies are organized throughout the year with regular intervals. This makes the experience of owning a Harley, delightful! Other motorcycle manufacturers also organize local rallies but not on such a scale. Triumph Motorcycles India is an exception and does organize the RAT rides. Such group rides actually offer a different experience for the rider, they get to connect with fellow riders and make friends with the like-minded ones. Everyone gets to appreciate their love for their machines, open roads and sense of freedom.
The 4th H.O.G India Rally happened along with the India Bike Week. This year, over 2500 H.O.G members from 21 chapters present in India came together to meet at Goa on February 18, 2016. Harley Davidson riders from all over the country including far off places like Chandigarh and Kolkatta made the 4 H.O.G India Rally a success.
The roads of Goa were filled with v-twin engines thumping especially the ones from Nazri Grounds to Arpora Sporting Grounds. The H.O.G India parade and the riders. made sure that the roaring machines underneath them annouced their arrival at the India Bike Week 2016. Most of the riders in the parade compromised safety for style, by not wearing helmets. We think Harley Davidson India should have iterated the importance of safety to their riders.
At the 4th H.O.G India Rally, the Roll of Honour was:
125 H.O.G members awarded the ‘Big 5 Patch’ – The 4th edition of the India H.O.G. Rally saw a whooping 125 H.O.G. members being awarded the illustrious ‘Big 5 Patch’. Awarded to riders who complete all four zonal rallies and the national H.O.G India rally in Goa, within the year, the Big 5 patch commends riders on their passion and spirit for biking and spanning thousands of kilometers across the country in a year.
